PURPOSE:To enable a DC motor to improve its output by allowing an electric current to flow directly in the motor when it is rotated in a high speed by turning a steering handle. CONSTITUTION:An outboard motor connects a storage battery 12 to a DC motor 6 through field effect transistors 33, 34, arranging the first switches 22, 23 closed when a handle shaft 14 is turned and the second switches 24, 25 connecting the storage battery 12 to the DC motor 6 not through the field effect transistors 33, 34 being closed when the DC motor 6 is in high speed rotation, in the periphery of the handle shaft 14 provided in a steering handle 13. The first cam 26 and the second cams 27, 28, operating the switches 22-25, are provided in the handle shaft 14. Thus increasing a turning amount of the steering handle 13, when the DC motor 6 rotates at a high speed, the switches 24, 25 are closed, and an electric current is allowed to flow in the DC motor 6 directly from the switches 24, 25. Accordingly, in the time of high speed operation, a power loss by the field effect transistors 33, 34 can be eliminated. |
