PURPOSE:To identify patterns while reducing interval between rotary drums by detecting rugged part to be detected with an optical or magnetic detecting means arranged at a prescribed position on an outer peripheral surface in the radius direction of a drum-shaped rotary member. CONSTITUTION:When rotary drums 11-13 are rotated, projecting parts 100 and 101 pass right below the positions of the drums, and photosensors 200 and 201 generate output pulses. First, the photosensor 201 generates detecting pulses at the position of a reference position projecting part 110, outputs resetting pulses from a resetting detecting circuit, resets a counter 22, next, the photosensor 200 generates the detecting pulses at the position of the respective counting projecting part 100, outputs the counting pulses from a counting detecting circuit 20, and sends them to the counting input of the counter 22. Consequently, the contents of the counter 22 at the time of the stopping of the rotary drum correspond to the rotation angle of a rotary drum stopping position for the reference position on the rotary drum, the classification of the patterns displayed to a player can be identified by the number of the counts of the counter 22. |
