PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having excellent characteristic of high sensitivity, small residual potential and excellent durability by the excellent carrier generatability of a bisazo compd. by incorporating the bisazo compd. expressed by special formula into the photosensitive layer formed on a conductive base of the electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The bisazo compd. expressed by general formula I is incorpo rated into the photosensitive layer formed on the conductive base. In formula, R1 and R2 respectively denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, substd. or unsubstd. alkoxy group, nitro group, cyano group or hydroxy group. Z denotes an atom. group necessary for forming a carbocyclic arom. ring or heterocyclic arom. ring. Further, X and Y respectively denote a hydrogen atom, substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, substd. or unsubstd. aryl group or substd. or unsubstd. heterocyclic group; (m) and (n) denote 1, 2 or 3 integer. |
