PURPOSE:To use an amplifier in common to plural magnetic heads by connecting a switching means between each magnetic head and an operation power source and controlling the operation of this switching means. CONSTITUTION:A control signal Sc is connected to a first electronic switch 25; and when this switch 25 is turned on, power from a power source P is supplied to a center tap 1c of a magnetic head 1 through the switch 25 and is supplied to transistors 5 and 7 of a write amplifier through respective coils 1a and 1b of the head 1. Consequently, when a write signal is supplied to bases of transistors 5 and 7, transistors 5 and 7 perform the amplifying operation in accordance with this signal and a write current flows to coils 1a and 1b to perform the write operation. When the control signal Sc is supplied to a second switch 27, the power from the power source P is supplied to a center tap 3c of a magnetic head 3 through the switch 7 and is supplied to transistors 5 and 7 of the write amplifier through coils 3a and 3b, and the write operation is performed in accordance with the write signal. |
