PURPOSE:To enable an option to be simply connected to a printer body by a method wherein contact electrodes which are electrically connected to each other are provided to option connecting holes and connecting projections which are established to the option. CONSTITUTION:Option connecting holes 10 are provided to both sides of an upper surface of a printer body 1, and connecting projections 20 which can be fitted into the option connecting holes 10 are provided to both sides of a bottom surface of a sheet feeder 2. The option connecting holes 10 and the connecting projections 20 are so formed that they are fit to each other at certain tightness, and the printer body 1 is mechanically stably connected to the sheet feeder 2 thereby. Then, when the connecting projections are inserted into the option connecting holes 10, contact electrodes 210A, 210B come in contact with contact electrodes 110A, 110B to be electrically connected. Therefore, by only placing the option on the printer body, they can be simply connected and further, the option can be avoided from erroneously connecting. |
