PURPOSE:To make the title device thin in thickness by providing an optical path body to cause a laser light from an optical head, which is provided on the same side as the magnetic bias device of a medium disk, to be projected to the medium disk from the opposite side surface direction of the magnetic bias device. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic bias device is set just under a medium 4 and at the time of recording and reproducing binarizing data, vertical magnetic fields, which are in directions different to the surface of the medium disk, are biased. In the magnetic bias device 5 side of the medium disk 4, an optical head 6 is set parallelly with this device 5, however, a laser beam is caused to be project ed to the medium disk 4 by an optical path body A from the opposite direction of the magnetic bias device 5. In the optical path body A, an optical axis, for which the laser light from a semiconductor laser 6a is caused to be projected to the medium disk 4 by full-reflecting mirrors 6j and 6k, is inverted by 180 deg. to the optical axis which transmits a polarizer 6c. Thus, a magneto-optical disk packaging can be made thin in thickness. |
