摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the quality of a playback picture, by providing a circuit compensating playback level variance of high band signal components. CONSTITUTION:The low band components reproduced at the head 21L, is given to the FM demodulator 23 via the limiter 22 and demodulated. On the other hand, the high band component of the video signal reproduced at the head 21H is fed to the variable gain amplifier 35 via the equalizer 24, the output is added with the low band component (a) at the addition circuit 25 and synthesized as the video signal and fed to the output terminal 26. The output of the variable gain amplifier 35 is delayed via the delay line 36 and it is introduced during the period of the gate pulse (d) obtained from the horizontal synchronizing separation circuit 31 and monostable multivibrator 34 at the gate circuit 37 and picked up as the gain control voltage (i) via the peak detection circuit 38 and the sample hold circuit 39, to control the gain of the variable gain amplifier 35.
