PURPOSE:To increase the recording frequencies of the title device and to improve a recording density by setting the output level of recording light at every optical disk so that the direct current level of an evaluating signal reproduced from the optical disk may be set at a prescribed reference level. CONSTITUTION:The device possesses an evaluating signal generating means 7, a mean level detecting means 8, a comparator 9, a control means 10, and a disk control information memory means 11 in addition to an optical disk 1, a recording/reproducing pickup 2, a driving circuit 3 as a modulating means, a regenerative signal amplifier 4, a binarizing circuit 5, and a data reader 6. The evaluating signal consisting of the signals at the highest frequencies is optically recorded in the optical disk 1, and the output level of the recording light is set at every optical disk 1 so that the direct current level of the evaluating signal reproduced from the optical disk 1 may be set at the prescribed reference level. Thus, since the level is suitably set at every optical disk 1, even when the slight dispersion exists in the characteristics of the optical disk 1 to be a recording medium, it can be permitted, the recording frequencies can be increased, and the recording density can be improved. |
