The arrangement serves for the high-speed compressive forming of metals. It is envisaged that an elastic body (18), which is accommodated in the cavity of a high-pressure chamber (17), interacts with the working end face (19) of a percussion piston (3) and acts on a semi-finished product (20), is made in such a manner that the action of the same on the semi-finished product (20) in the shape-changing zone of the same can be guaranteed. In this case, the working end face (19) of the percussion piston (3) has a cross-section which is smaller than the cross-section of the cavity of the pipe (1) and it corresponds in shape to the surface of the elastic body (18) which comes into contact with it. The invention can be most successfully applied in the production of rapid-working hydrodynamic presses for stamping parts from sheet-metal-like materials using an elastic medium. <IMAGE> |
