<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to fully automate assembly works by holding an instrument panel by clamping means of a jig provided for the both ends of a jig frame mounted on a robot arm in such a way as to be vertically moved, aligning with a car body bracket in position for piling on the bracket, and fastening them by means of a fastening means. CONSTITUTION:Let a base frame 3 mounted on a robot arm 1 in such a way as to be vertically moved, which can be inserted through a car door opening, support a jig frame 4 slidably in the transverse direction, and installation jigs 2 are provided for the both ends thereof. The installation jigs 2 are provided with clamping means 7 so as to clamp the end walls A1 of an instrument panel A for moving them to specified installation positions so that they are engaged with a car body installation bracket W1 from outside. Then, a bolt is screwed into an installation hole on both the end wall A1 and the bracket W1 by means of a fastening means 8 provided for the installation jig 2 for fixing the instrument panel. Thus, the installation works of the instrument panel can be fully automated under an unmanned condition.</p> |
