The invention relates to a method for obtaining a signal for setting a clock phase in a receiving circuit in digital frame-structured communication by means of a phase discriminator which combines the received signal with the frame alignment word and averages the result of the combination, and that the averaging is carried out only during the reception of the frame alignment word and is used for combining the stored frame alignment word.
