<p>PURPOSE:To secure both satisfactory drop in back pressure and braking function as well as to contrive an improvement in durability by forming a valve body in such a way that plural numbers of valve members are detachably connected with each other by plural numbers of pins, and fixing one valve member monolithically with the piston rod of an air cylinder device. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust brake main body 1 lets the reciprocating actuation path of a plate valve body 3 be communicated in the direction perpendicular to an exhaust passage 2 projecting into a connecting wall 1' with an exhaust pipe. In this case, the plate valve body 3 is formed in such a way that plural numbers of valve members 3' and 3'' are detachably connected with each other by plural numbers of pins 7 and 7'. And one valve member 3' is integrally fixed onto the piston rod 6 of a cylinder device 5. By this constitution, the plate valve body 3 is lowered by the pressure built up by the junction of one valve body 3' to the other valve body 3'' when the exhaust passage 2 is closed. On the other hand, when the exhaust passage 2 is opened, both of the valve bodies 3' and 3'' are mutually separated so as to let a circulating gap 4 be formed between them, thereby letting the plate valve body 3 be concurrently elevated.</p> |
