PURPOSE:To enable high-reliability cleaning by guiding waste toner which is removed from an image carrier to a waste toner container through a compression roller consisting of plural rollers. CONSTITUTION:Untransferred toner on a photosensitive drum 1 after transfer is peeled off mechanically by a cleaning blade 12 to fall. The falling toner is applied with pressure when passing between the compression rollers 18 consisting of two rollers which are pressed oppositely to each other to rotate, and enters a flaked semisolid state, so that the toner is deposited in a waste toner box 13. The gap between the compression rollers 18 and box 13 is sealed with sponge materials 19 and 20 to prevent the waste toner from leaking. |
