The invention relates to a cast brake shoe with a brake-shoe body in the form of an annular cut-out which, at one end, has a bearing eye for a bearing pin and, at the other end, a fork-shaped bearing-journal receiver and, on the inside, is provided with a reinforcement extending along the inner circumference and inwards. To make the brake shoe simpler to produce and lighter in weight, the reinforcement consists of two spaced, radially extending webs which run essentially in a serpentine line and in mirror symmetry with respect to the central radial plane of the brake shoe. |
