PURPOSE:To make it possible to set gaps smaller so as to improve operating efficiency by forming abradable coatings on the wall surfaces of fixed parts which face the rotating part of a rotary machine so that the gaps between the wall surfaces and the rotating part become specified ones. CONSTITUTION:In a variable displacement supercharger for a vehicle, the nozzle 5 acting as a rotating part is provided between a turbine casing 1 and a shroud 4 acting as fixed parts, and the shroud 4 supports a nozzle shaft 6 connected to a driving device 7 via a bearing 8. To make the gap CT between the nozzle 5 of the supercharger and the turbine casing 1 and the gap CS between the nozzle 5 and the shroud 4 smaller, abradable coating 9 are respectively formed on each wall surface 1a, 4a of the turbine casing 1 and the shroud 4. This coating 9 is formed by flame coating boron nitride powder and cermet powder to the specified thickness by means of gas flame coating, after flame coating the complex of nickel and aluminum as an undercoat. |
