<p>The installation comprises in particular a boiler (1), pipes (2) for distribution in a closed circuit of a heat-exchanging fluid to different heating points (3) such as radiators, convectors or floor heating, and a circulating pump (4) for said heat-exchanging fluids. According to the method of the invention, the temperature of the fluid is measured at the outlet of the boiler (1), the temperature of the fluid is measured at the return of the boiler (1) and the divergence between the two temperatures previously measured is calculated. The temperature divergence found is compared to an ideal divergence dependent upon the temperature of the fluid at the outlet of the boiler, which makes it possible to determine a differential divergence. The heating rate of the boiler, that is to say the outlet temperature of the heat-exchanging fluid, is adjusted to reduce the differential divergence.
