PURPOSE: To provide the extended ability of an assembly by providing a control processor provided with a resource management mechanism and a non-control processor provided with a network access system and provided with resources for turning a data transfer function to the inside and outside of a node. CONSTITUTION: One of processors in a computer assembly is called the control processor and is provided with the resource management mechanism for controlling functions inside one node. The other processor is the non-control processor and the non-control processor is provided with the operatabie network access system in it and is provided with the resources for turning the data transfer function to the inside and outside of the node. A physical control layer provides an actual physical link between a final user and a final receiver, a data link control layer transfers a data packet in a complete state across a transmission equipment and a route control layer constitutes the data transfer function along with a session layer.
