<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title ink compsn. excellent in lubricity, little liable to cause abrasion of a ball seat and capable of keeping the rotation of a ball smooth for a long period of time, by adding an alkali salt or alkanolamide of a dicarboxylic acid to a water-base ink compsn. contg. a water-soluble org. solvent and a water-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION:A water-base ink compsn. contg. a water-soluble org. solvent and a water-soluble dye is admixed with an alkali salt or alkanolamide of a dicarboxylic acid (e.g., triethanolamine sebacate) in an amt. of 0.1-5.0wt.% based on the total wt. of the resulting ink compsn. for ball point pens. The use of this ink compsn. secures an excellent lubricity and stabilizes the rotation of a ball for a long period of time without detriment to the smoothness of writing and outflow of the ink.</p> |
