<p>PURPOSE: To provide the broadcasting receiver with capacity for transmitting much information to its user and to sharply improve the practicability and appeal of the receiver by providing the receiver with memory capacity and a CPU including a means capable of driving a display and providing an I/O port combined with a keyboard. CONSTITUTION: A memory ROM 3 for storing information to be displayed is included in the receiver. The information to be displayed includes broadcasting station identification information for identifying various different broadcasting stations. For instance, the frequency bands of respective broadcasting stations, the call signs of the stations, the places of the stations such as city names, formats (the sorts of programs), etc., are included as information. A liquid crystal display 8 is included to display required information to each user and set up a program in the receiver. When the memory 3 is addressed by a slave processor 2 in accordance with user's tuning operation, information stored in the memory 3 is displayed on the display 8. An input signal is supplied to a control module 1 by a keyboard 7 for allowing a user to set up a program in the receiver.</p> |
