PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of the end face and to easily take out an optical fiber by slightly opening clamps with the cut optical fiber bent by a push tool to make the optical fiber movable and drawing back the push tool thereafter to take out the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:While the optical fiber which is pushed and cut by a push tool 36 is pushed and bent still, clamps 22 and 28 on both sides of the push tool 36 are slightly opened to make the optical fiber 10 movable; and thereafter, the push tool 36 is drawn back to take out the optical fiber 10. This method can be applied to the case where a bare fiber is notched from above the coating by a cutting blade 34 and cut by the push tool 36 as well as the case where a coating part 12 is clamped by the clamp 22 and the bare fiber 14 is clamped by the clamp 28 to cut the optical fiber. Thus, the optical fiber is taken out without cracking neither damaging the end face of the optical fiber. |
