PURPOSE:To improve the working speed by laser light in the stage of working simultaneously the plural points of a workpiece with laser light by dividing the working width in the axial direction of the workpiece to plural parts, and working the respective parts with the laser light having equal energy. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 11a having the two-fold energy of the energy required for working is oscillated from a laser oscillation source 8, and is bisected to two beams of laser light 11b, 11c by a half mirror 13, which are irradiated respectively by condenser lenses 4, 15 so as to focus on the surface of the workpiece 1 in the stage of working the surface of a work under rotation with laser light irradiation. The spacing between both focuses in this case is made half of the working width L in the axial direction and is moved in the axial direction, whereby the work piece can be worked in the working time half of the working time in the prior art. The working is accomplished for 1/N the time in the prior art by dividing the laser light in N piece to make the spacing between focuses 1/N of the working width. |
