PURPOSE:To obtain an antiallergic drug effective for allergosis of I type free from side effects, by cultivating a plant tissue belonging to the genus Lauraceae or Labiatae and collecting an inhibitory component of granule removal of mast cell from the culture mixture. CONSTITUTION:Tissue of one plant belonging to the family Lauraceae (e.g. Cinnamomum Cassia), Labiatae (e.g. Perilla frutescens, Mentha arvensis or Prunella vulgaris), Ephedraceae (e.g. Ephedra sinica), Magnoliaceae (e.g. Magnolia liliflorap), Aristolochiaceae (e.g. Asiasarum sieboldi), Leguminosae (e.g. Pueraria lobata or Sophora japonica) or Umbelliferae (e.g. Foeniculum vulgare or Lingusticum acutilobam) or a cell group (e.g. root of budding, hypocotyl or cotyledon) is cultivated in a solid medium preferably containing agar usually by adding a plant hormone such as auxin in order to promote deviation of callus and the callus is subjected to subculture to give an antiallergic drug containing an inhibitory component of granule removal of mast cell. |
