Provided is an image formation device that allows a suitable range to be set for charge voltages with which an image carrier is charged. A charge roller 2 and a charge power supply S1 apply a voltage between the charge roller 2 and a photosensitive drum 1 so as to charge the photosensitive drum 1. A control circuit 13 sets a voltage by which a predetermined discharge current can be obtained by the charge roller 2 with respect to the photosensitive drum 1. The control circuit 13 determines the upper limit value and/or the lower limit value of the voltage set by the control circuit 13 in accordance with the state of resistance acting on the current flowing between the charge roller 2 and the photosensitive drum 1. |
