NEW MATERIAL:A modified gelatin in which an amino molecule in gelatin is substituted with 2,4-bis(O-methoxy-polyethyleneglycol)-S-triazine-6-yl. USE:A coating film agent, emulsifying agent, stabilizer, adhesive, corrosion- resistant agent, sizing agent for dyeing and finishing agent. PREPARATION:For example, O-methoxypolyethyleneglycol expressed by formula I (n is polymerization degree) is reacted with 2,4,6-trichloro-S-triazine to give 2,4-bis(O-methoxypolyethyleneglycol)-S-triazine-6-yl, which is then dissolved in 0.1M boric acid buffer and 0.1M boric acid buffer solution of gelatin is added thereto and reacted with the above-mentioned triazine derivative to provide the modified gelatin expressed by formula IV. |
