<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for optical resolution useful as a filler for liquid chromatography suitable for analytical and industrial use, having high asymmetric selectivity, bearing long-term use, by bonding a polypeptide containing an optically active specific amino acid to a polymer carrier. CONSTITUTION:An agent for optical resolution wherein a polypeptide contains one or more amino acids selected from the group consisting of optically active histidine, leucine, proline, phenylalanine, tyrosine, tryptophan, oxyproline and derivatives thereof and the residue protected with a protecting group, is bonded by amide bond optionally through a spacer of a diaminoalkane such as ethylenediamine to a polymer carrier which contains am alkyl ester bond at the side chain of methyl (meth)acrylate and a hydrophilic polar substituent group and has a porous structure and has an asymmetric selection site not coming off with an acid or alkali.</p> |
