PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus composed of a culture liquid storage tank, a circulation pump and a cell culture unit and capable of aseptically sampling a culture liquid of a membrane-type cell culture apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Fresh aseptic air is constantly supplied to a sampling port 6 with an air pump 11 through an air filter 12 during the normal operation of a cell culture apparatus to prevent the contamination of the sampling port 6 with sundry germs. In the sampling stage, the air pump 11 is stopped, a medium A is supplied to the sampling port 6 to effect the sampling and, when the pressure in the tank 1 is gradually decreased below normal pressure according to the progress of sampling, fresh aseptic air supplied through the air pump 11 and the air filter 12 is introduced into the medium-storage tank 1 to restore the tank 1 to normal pressure. The air pump 11 is again operated after the completion of sampling to introduce fresh aseptic air into the sampling port 6 and the normal operation of the cell culture apparatus is started.
