PURPOSE:To lower the iron loss of a grain oriented electrical steel sheet by hot rolling a silicon steel slab having a specific compsn. and specifying the cooling rate and coiling temp. from the completion of finish rolling up to coiling. CONSTITUTION:The slab consisting, by weight %, 0.03-0.07% C, 2.5-4.0% Si, 0.04-0.15% Mn, 0.015-0.035% S, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities is heated to a high temp. and is hot rolled. The average cooling rate from the completion of the finish rolling in hot rolling up to the coiling is set at <10-40 deg.C/sec and the coiling temp. is set at 600-750 deg.C. The average cooling rate is otherwise set at 40-80 deg.C/sec and the coiling temp. at 550-750 deg.C. This hot rolled sheet is pickled and is subjected to >=2 passes of cold rolling including intermediate annealing then to decarburization annealing. An annealing and separation agent is then coated on the steel sheet and is subjected to high-temp. finish annealing. The grain oriented electrical steel sheet which is lowered in the iron loss is thereby obtd. |
