<p>PURPOSE: To improve accuracy and to facilitate production by manufacturing a hollow metal head from one sheet of metallic sheet shaped by using certain one surface of the golf club head as a base and connecting and developing the other surfaces to this base. CONSTITUTION: The metallic sheet is formed to the shape obtd. by using the one surface among the sole surface 1, face surface 2, upper surface 3 and flank 4 of the golf club head as the base and connecting and developing the other surfaces thereto. Next, the thicknesses of the respective surfaces are produced by thick forming dies and the rounding of the respective surfaces is executed by rounding dies. Finally, the sheet is bent to a head shape and the joints of the respective surfaces are welded, by which the hollow metal head is manufactured. Since the metal head is produced from one sheet of the developed metal sheet in such a manner the smaller number of the head parts is necessitated and the accuracy of the head sizes is good. The forming of the blanks with which casting is difficult is made possible in a lost wax method. The partial setting of the thicknesses is made relatively easy.</p> |
