PURPOSE: To improve the processing speed by providing a perforation control means which form plural perforations successively on detecting positions of the portable storage medium to be perforated. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic card which is inserted into a card insertion slot 3 is conveyed to a read and write part 17 and data on, for example, the frequency of riding which is stored in a storage part mounted on the reverse side of the magnetic card is read out and outputted to a CPU 41. This magnetic card has punch holes detected by optical sensors 19a and 19b, whose detection signal is outputted to the CPU 41. Then, a conveying motor 7 is reversely rotated under the control of the CPU 41 to convey the magnetic card to a punch part 21 up to the position of the punch holes by passing by the sensors 25a and 25b. Then, the CPU 41 drives the conveying motor 7 corresponding to the conveyance quantity between the punch holes to repeat operation for successively forming punch holes, and the magnetic card is discharged from the insertion slot 3. |
