PURPOSE:To reduce an oversight of a defect to the minimum, and to detect a flow of the whole circumference of a pipe under an optimum condition by irradiating an ultrasonic wave under the same condition from two directions to a flaw detecting part of a weld zone, etc. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 3 is made to adhere and fixed to a wedge 6 on a line meeting at a right angle with a line for connecting the center of a pipe 1 and a weld zone 2. The wedge 6 and the vibrator 3 are rotated in the pipe 1 by a rotation driving motor 8. A signal transfer mechanism 9 is constituted of a rotor and a stator, and an ultrasonic transmitting and receiving signal is transferred to the fixed side from the rotating side. The rotation driving motor 8 and the signal transfer mechanism 9 are held in a case 7, and a guide 11 is provided on its one end. Also, a guide 10 is provided on one end of the wedge 6, too. The guides 10, 11 make the center of the pipe 1 coincide with the center of a rotation of a probe. |
