<p>Persons suspected of being afflicted with Alzheimer's disease or related diseases can be diagnosed by application of a match-to-sample olfactory test using a panel of unfamiliar odors. Persons afflicted with these diseases are unable to match unfamiliar odors, whereas normal individuals are invariably capable of doing so with a high degree of accuracy.</p> |
