PURPOSE:To enable a deceleration detector to simply detect faulty conditions in which it cannot detect deceleration in the operation of a parking brake lever by mounting the deceleration detector on a swivel bed interlocked with the parking brake lever. CONSTITUTION:In a device constituted to operate a parking brake through a wire 12 by pulling up a parking brake lever 10 pivotable about a pivot 11 from the usual position shown by the solid line to the parking brake position shown by the chain line, a pin 13 is secured fixedly to the rear end of lever 10 to be inserted into a slot 31 provided in the front end of a swivel bed 30 swingable about a pivot 32. A deceleration detector 1 is mounted on the upper surface of the swivel bed 30 at an angle thereto so that it can detect a certain or more deceleration, while a switch 40 operated when the swivel bed 30 is inclined by a certain or more angle is mounted on the lower surface of swivel bed 30. In turning on the switch 40, the deceleration detector 1 is judged to be faulty if it does not receive any deceleration detecting signal. |
