PURPOSE:To prevent the irregularity of a recording image in a single line and thereby obtain a high quality image by incorporating a ROM or a non-volatile memory which stores the resistance value of a heat generating body. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 1 is composed of 72 driver IC 3 which drive 24 heat generating bodies 2 as a single group, a thermister which measures the temperature of the heat generating body 2, a printed circuit board 5 with a ROM 4 which stores the resistance value of each heat generating body 2 in advance, a connector 6 as an output part which connects a driver IC 3, a thermister and ROM 4 electrically to a control part on a thermal printer main unit side, and a base 7 with a heat releasing plate. The ROM 4 is connected to a device control part, and the resistance value of each heat generating body 2 stores in the ROM 4 is read by the device control part. Since the thermal head 1 is incorporated in the ROM 4, correction of the pulse width is possible by the resistance value of the heat generating body, and the pulse width of the same level can be applied to each heat generating body.
