PURPOSE:To sufficiently exhibit the characteristics of superconducting complex oxide, by treating an electroconductive oxide consisting of yttrium oxide, barium oxide and copper oxide under a specific temperature and oxygen pressure. CONSTITUTION:An electroconductive oxide composed of yttrium oxide, barium oxide and copper oxide is treated at the temperature range of 450-1,100 deg.C in the presence of oxygen pressure of 10-10,000 atmospheric pressure. The above-mentioned electroconductive oxide is a superconducting complex oxide expressed by the formula (x is 0.3-0.5; y is changeable according to Y, Ba and Cu). The oxide is an oxygen deficiency-containing crystal and the oxygen amount in the structure is greatly changed by oxygen partial pressure in temperature and atmosphere treated. By the above-mentioned heat treatment, oxygen deficient amount of high temperature superconducting complex oxide having the composition expressed by the formula can be controlled and also control of superconductivity is made possible. |
