PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a conference system and to reduce its cost by arranging a line switching device and a voice mixer in a satellite ground station and providing display spot selectors which selects and display opposite conference rooms in conference room devices at respective points. CONSTITUTION:The line switching device 19 and voice mixer 20 are connected between a separating device 17 and a time-division multiplexer 13, and the switching device 19 switches image signals supplied from the separating device 17 selectively and output them to the time-division multiplexer 13. The display spot selectors 21 which select one of other points are provided in the conference room devices 100 at the respective points, and switch and control the line switching device 19. Thus, lines for transmitting image signals and voice signals between a decoder, a monitor, conference rooms, and the terminal station are reduced in number of the line, and the cost is reduced because of the simplified constitution.
