Wood-chopping machine having a disc wheel which is fixed on a drive shaft and on which there are screwed a plurality of knives on knife supports, which chop off supplied wood on a counter cutting edge and in front of which are arranged adjustable stop plates which are held individually by guides and can be adjusted and locked by in each case one screw connection, the screw connections consisting of a guide bolt on the stop plate and a screw bolt, as well as a union nut or a union sleeve, and being adjustable from the rear side of the disc wheel or between disc wheel and stop plates, and lockable from the rear side of the disc wheel.
