PURPOSE:To enable the inspecting of the propriety in a state of joint of an object to be inspected in contact with none of a shadow grill, by vibrating the object being inspected made up of more than one members joined to detect displacement of the members. CONSTITUTION:A mask structural body 3 having a shadow grill 7 and a frame 8 welded securely thereon is mounted on a vibration table and vibration is applied with a vibrating device 13 in the direction of the arrow A. Then, when joint between the shadow grill 7 and the frame 8 is incomplete, the movement of the frame 8 fails to be transmitted accurately to the shadow grill 7 and the level of vibration changes in the portion of the shadow grill 7 having an incomplete joint, a deviation is caused in the amplitude and phase between two detection signals, which eventually increases an output of an analog adder 18. Thus, the output is compared with a preset threshold by a judgement display device 19, thereby enabling judgement on the propriety of the state of joint.
