PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjusting operation of a seat back and heat rest by slanting the upper portion of seat back divided into the upper and lower portion while enabling the front and rear positions of head rest to be adjusted interlocked with said slanting operation. CONSTITUTION:When a folding adjusting dial 44 on the upper portion 5 of a seat back is rotated, a pinion 42 is rotated through a bolt 41 and an upper bracket 51 on the upper portion 5 of seat back is brought down rearward about the bolt 41. At the same time a rack portion 91 on the lower end of a lever 9 is moved rearward and a head rest 7 is brought down forward by the pivoting of a support shaft 8, Thus, since the upper portion 5 of seat back is adjusted while the front and rear positions of head rest 7 are adjusted, labor for adjusting the position of head rest can be saved to improve the operability.
