PURPOSE:To prevent the horizontal oscillation of an internal pump at the time of operating a nuclear reactor by interposing a supporting member made of a shape memory alloy to the mounting part of the lower end plate of a pressure vessel and the internal pump. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 25 of a casing 23 of the internal pump for force circulation of cooling water is fixed by welding to the upper part of a nozzle 1b projected to the lower end plate 1a of the pressure vessel 1 of an advanced boiling water reactor (A-BWR). The supporting member 101 made of the shape memory alloy is mounted to either of the outside surface of the sleeve 25 or the inside surface of the nozzle 1b and is interposed between the sleeve 25 and the nozzle 1b. The supporting member 11 is deformed to push the nozzle 1b and the sleeve 25, thus rigidly supporting the sleeve 25 at the time of the operation of the reactor. Then, the horizontal oscillation of the casing 23 is prevented and the soundness of the internal pump is surely maintained.
