PURPOSE:To produce pottery having a unique tasteful color tone by successively subjecting pottery to oxidative firing, oxidative firing and reductive in combination and optional final oxidative firing when the pottery is fired. CONSTITUTION:When pottery is fired, the pottery is subjected oxidative firing at about 1,300 deg.C in a first stage. In a second stage, while the pottery is subjected to reductive firing at about 1,150-1,300 deg.C, the temp. is raised to about 1,300 deg.C, the reductive baking is continued up to 950 deg.C and the pottery is subjected to oxidative firing at <=950 deg.C. The pottery may further be subjected to oxidative firing at 1,180-1,280 deg.C in a third stage. |
