In a "centre-homing" suspension arrangement with a quadrangle linkage (4, 5, 8, 9) for a spray boom (1) for spraying a field (2), the new feature consists in that the quadrangle linkage constitutes a parallelogram, and that the "centre-homing" function is provided by elastically functioning return mechanisms (15, 16), e.g.in the form of air cylinders (18) with closed chambers (19, 20) on both sides of the piston (17). With this arrangement it is achieved that the spray boom (1), when moving transversely to the direction of forward motion - e.g. towards the right or the left in the drawing - does not alter its orientation relative to the field (2). The angle between the spray boom (1) and the field (2) may be adjusted, and its height above the field (2) changed, by raising or lowering upwardly and downwardly adjustable members (10, 11), in which the suspension rods (6, 7) for the boom (1) are suspended. |
