PURPOSE:To know in detail the generating step of a fault, by providing a step counter to set the indication information to transmits the state information of a using central controller and the state information of a spare central controller. CONSTITUTION:An information processing system includes an input/output device such as a typewriter device TYP, etc. which is shared by using and spare central controllers CC0 and CC1. A step counter STPCNTO sets the indication information to transmit the state information of the controller CC0 to the controller CC1. While a step counter STPCNT1 sets the indication information to transmit the state information of the controller CC1 to the controller CC0. These two step counters STPCNT1, STPCNT2 are scanned to monitor the processing stages of both CC0 and CC1. |
