<p>PURPOSE:To surely steer the rear wheel by means of a small actuator in a rear wheel steering mechanism containing a trailing arm, which is rotated in the almost lateral direction by an actuator, by mounting the front end of the arm on the chassis via a parallel link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A bevel gear assembly 3 of a steering mechanism ST is connected, via a control shaft 4, to a rear wheel steering ratio adjusting mechanism RC to which a rear wheel steering mechanism Rm containing a rear power cylinder 9, which rotates or drives a trailing arm 10a of a rear suspension 10, is connected. The front end of the trailing arm 10a, whose rear end is connected to a hub carrier of a rear wheel 2b is supported by a chassis member 12 via a parallel link mechanism 11 whose base end is pivotally mounted on the chassis member 12. With this contrivance, through lateral movement of a free end of the parallel link mechanism 11, the lateral movement of the trailing arm 10a can easily be carried out.</p> |
