摘要 PURPOSE:To generate an image which has no moire and whose edge has been emphasized, by setting a threshold level, based on an error allocation of binarization at the time of digital image processing, and executing the binarization by using this threshold level. CONSTITUTION:Data which has been inputted from an image input device 1 is inputted to a memory 2. The data is binarized by a binarizing circuit 9 and stored in a memory 13. An error of raw data and binary data is calculated by an error calculating circuit 10, the error is weighted by an error allocating circuit 11, and an allocation destination and an allocation quantity of the error are determined and stored in a memory 12. The error allocation quantity which has been stored in the memory 12 is sent to the binarizing circuit 9, the error allocation quantity is added to the next picture element data and the data is binarized. Subsequently, from the memory 2, the raw data of the same block is inputted to an adding circuit 4 and the sum total is calculated, and the number of black picture elements N is calculated by a black picture element counting circuit. N and the number of black picture elements (m) of the binary data of the memory 13 and compared and binarization is determined by a binarization determining circuit 14.
