PURPOSE:To obtain the titled homogeneous polymer in a continuously stable state for a long period, by feeding powdery 12-aminododecanoic acid together with an inert gas from a monomer feed pipe into a polymerization reaction vessel, carrying out polymerization and discharging water formed as a by- product with the inert gas. CONSTITUTION:Powdery 12-aminododecanoic acid (ADA) is passed through a monomer weighing feeder 14 and, together with an inert gas fed from an inert gas feed pipe 15, fed from a monomer feed pipe 2 into a polymerization reaction vessel 1, heated with a heater consisting of heating plates 8 and heating medium passages 7, stirred with a rotating stirrer 12 having stirring arms 13 and polymerized. Water formed as a by-product by the polymerization reaction, together with the inert gas, is discharged from a vent pipe 3 to the outside of the reaction system to carry out the polymerization while continuously discharging the formed polymer from a polymer discharge outlet 4 and afford the aimed polymer.
