PURPOSE:To produce a disk rotor which is hard to oscillate and has high strength by incorporating specific ratios of Si, Mn, Cr, Cu and C into Fe. CONSTITUTION:The alloy contg., by weight, 2.3-3.0% Si, 1.0-3.0% Mn, 0.2-1.0% Cr, 0-2.0% Cu and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is prepd. Said alloy retains high oscillation damping ratio and has excellent tensile strength. The alloy does not oscillate drastically so as to cause a harsh noise and moreover holds sufficient strength at the time of using it as a disk rotor.
