<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently recover Nb and Ti from scrap of a superconductive Nb-Ti material and to enable reutilization by treating the scrap to remove copper and by separating Nb and Ti compds. from each other. CONSTITUTION:Copper is first removed from scrap of a hyperfine multicore wire of a superconductive Nb-Ti material by a wet process such as treatment with nitric acid, complexing or leaching by anodic oxidation or by a dry process such as selective oxidation or chlorination, and then Nb and Ti compds. are separated from each other. The copper removing treatment is desirably carried out by the leaching by anodic oxidation. The separation is preferably carried out by converting Nb and Ti into halogen compds. by halogenation, further converting the halogen compds. into alkoxide compds. and recovering the alkoxide compds.</p> |
