PURPOSE:To simplify an apparatus and a structure, by providing a plurality of wedge-shaped step parts to either one of the opposed surfaces of both of rotor and a rotor receiving part composed of non-magnetic body formed to the inner surface of a stator to form a fluid baring and making the cylindrical rotor having a blade body rotatable in non-contact state. CONSTITUTION:When a stirring device is arranged in tank 1, a part of the liquid in the tank 1 enters the gap between a rotor 3 and a rotor receiving part 4d. When a current is supplied to an induction motor 2, the rotor 3 rotates by the rotary magnetic field generated in a stator 4 and the liquid is drawn in the wedge-shaped gaps becoming narrow in the rotary direction by the viscosity thereof and wedge-shaped step parts to generate pressure and the liquid film comes to have load capacity. As s result, fluid bearing effect is generated in the rotor receiving part 4d and the rotor becomes rotatable with respect to the rotor receiving part 4d in a non-contact state. Therefore, the rotor 3 smoothly rotates and the liquid in the tank 1 is stirred by the blade body 3a provided to the interior or peripheral wall part of the rotor 3. |
