<p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of writing, to execute printing at a high speed, and to contrive to miniaturize the printer by providing a write mechanism and a transfer device so as to be freely movable in the longitudinal direction of a latent image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A write mechanism and a transfer device are provided so as to be freely movable in the longitudinal direction of a latent image carrier. That is, between a driving roller 22 and a driven roller 23, a carriage 24 is provided so that its reciprocating motion can be executed freely by the width of at least a form 2 in the width direction of the form 2, and to this carriage 24, an electrostatic charger 25, an optical write head 26, a transfer roller 27 and a fixing roller 28 are attached so that the reciprocating motion can be executed together. Subsequently, in a state that the latent image carrier 21 has been stopped, while moving the write mechanism and the transfer device in the longitudinal direction of the latent image carrier 21, write of a latent image to the latent image carrier 21 is executed by one write mechanism, and simultaneously, by the other transfer device, a toner image which has been formed in the latent image part is transferred to a recording carrier 2 of the form, etc. In such a way, the write accuracy is improved, printing is executed at a high speed, and the printer can be miniaturized.</p> |
