PURPOSE:To sound-record all affairs of a caller by sending a response message to a calling side when an incoming call arrives during the absence, generating a low frequency signal to start sound recording action and thereafter, sending the sound recording sign signal of an audible sound to a calling side. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming call form an opponent arrives, a CPU 1 drives a sound recording reproducing head 21, the contents of a sound recording tape are reproduced and a response message A is also sent to a calling side. Switches 7 and 15 are switched to the position of the dotted lines. Consequently, when the calling from the opponent side is inputted in such a condition, the input signal is sound-recorded through the switch 7, a preamplifier 9, the switch 15 and a sound recording reproducing head 23 to a sound recording tape. When an audible sound signal B is sent to the calling side, the caller starts to tell the affair after the signal is opened. When the user at the calling side starts to tell the business, an automatic answering telephone set comes to be already a sound-recordable condition by a low frequency signal D, therefore, all the affairs of the caller are sound-recorded.
